Prof. Cui Liru is Senior Adviser of the Advisory Committee, Pangoal Institution and formerly Senior Advisor of China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), member of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and also Senior Adviser to multiple institutions for the study of national security and foreign relations.

Prof. Cui is also Board Member of Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) in USA.


Mr. Cui served as Pesident of CICIR from 2005 and 2013; Director General of Institute of World Information, which is affiliated to the State Information Center, from 1996 to 2004; Counselor at the Permanent Mission of the PRC to the United Nations from 1992 to 1994.


Mr. Cui graduated from Fudan University in Shanghai in 1976, and started his career in CICIR in 1980. His research interests include U.S. foreign policy, U.S.-China relations, international security issues and Chinese foreign policy.
