Liu Haifang is a Senior Fellow at the Pangoal Institution. She received her Ph.D from Peking University and is an Associate Professor at the Peking University now. Professor Liu is also Deputy Director at the Chinese Society of African Historical Studies. Her main areas of expertise are Racism in International Relations, Sino-African Relations, Angolan Studies, Chinese Foreign Aid History,  and Chinese Emigration to Africa.


Dr Liu has authored numerous publications in English and Mandarin, including books (such as the only book on Angola in China) and academic essays, such as The untold China–Angola story: the evolution of Chinese perceptions of Angola and Sino-Angolan relations, China-Angola, a Convenient Relationship? ( Fahamu Publishing house, 2012).
