  • On June 18, 2018, Wang Dong, the Secretary-General of Academic Committee of the Pangoal Institution, was invited to the China-India Relations Seminar

On June 18, 2018, a seminar titled the China-India Relations Seminar was co-hosted by the Chinese Embassy, Institute of Chinese Studies, FICCI, FCCSA, and IAFAC. Luo Zhaohui, the Chinese Ambassador to India, and Shri Amitabh Kant, the Secretary-General of the National Institution for Transforming India, attended the opening ceremony and gave keynote speech. The purposes of this seminar is to interpret the achievements of the meeting, to encourage India’s participation in various areas, to enforce the consensus reached by leaders, to maintain the China-India relations, and to brainstorm ideas for the future development of China-India relations. The Seminar is divided in to three sections respectively titled strategy, economy, and culture. Wang Dong, the Secretary-General of Academic Committee of the Pangoal Institution and the Deputy Executive Director of the Institute for China-US People-to-People Exchange at Peking University, was invited to the seminar and gave a keynote speech for the culture section.

  • On June 19, 2018, Amaralal Sumith Nakandala visited the Pangoal Institution and gave a keynote speech in the China-Sri Lanka Forum.

Bai Yunfeng, the Vice Chairman of Pangoal Academic Committee, hosted the forum, both sides discussed issues regarding the enhancement of mutual understanding and cooperation and the development of China-Sri Lanka relations. Moreover, the forum discussed the current China-Sri Lanka economy from various angles, including economic development and demand, and analyzed the prospect and trend of potential cooperation between China and Sri Lanka under the influence of the One Belt and One Road Initiative. Participants of the forum indicated that both countries should encourage communication between the government and think tanks, foster cooperation between young entrepreneurs, and make more effort to promote regional development and the establishment of a community of a shared future.

  • On June 21, 2018, Su Ge, Senior Advisor of the Pangoal Institution attended the 2018 Chatham House London Conference.

The 2018 Chatham House London Conference took place on 21 and 22 June. Su Ge, a Senior Advisor of the Pangoal Institution and the Chairman of China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation was invited and attended the conference.

  • On June 22, 2018, the Pangoal Institution and the Academy of Chinese Studies of Incheon National University co-hosted “One Belt One Road” Forum

To improve the communication between Chinese and Korean think tanks and to assist China to perform constructively on the Korean peninsula affairs, the delegation of the Pangoal Institution, Against a background of dramatically changing situation of the Korean peninsula, went to Bushan, Seoul, Jeju and other places from June 21 to 30 to investigate. The delegation of Pangoal Institution co-hosted several forums with Incheon National University, The Korean Association of International Studies, KCFI, East Asia Foundation and other organizations.

  • June 25, 2018, Pangoal Institution and KCFI co-hosted a conference titled “US-North Korea Summit and Korean Peninsula: Evaluations, Tasks, and the Roles of Korea and China”

On June 25, the delegation of Pangoal Institution reached its second stop and co-hosted the second KCFI-Pangoal Conference with KCFI. Pangoal delegates Shi Yinhong, Yue Li, Cheng Xiaohe, Li  and others discussed matters concerning China-Korea relations and Korean Peninsula with former Korea ambassador and renowned scholars.

  • June 26-28, the delegation of Pangoal Institution attended the 13th Jeju Forum

From June 26 to 28, the 13th Jeju Forum for Peace and Property-Reengineering Peace for Asia brought together over 500 leaders, politicians, scholars from China, Korea, the United States, Russia, Japan, Canada, India and other nations. Former Secretary General for the United Nations, former Prime Minster of Japan Yasuo Fukuda, former Prime Minister of Canada Brian Mulroney and others gave keynote speeches at the opening ceremony.

  • June 29, 2018, the Pangoal Institution and the East Asia Foundation co-hosted the

On June 29, 2018, delegation of Pangoal Institution co-hosted the 3rd ROK-China Strategic Dialogue with East Asia Foundation. The Conference was held under the theme of “New R.O.K-China Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity of Northeast Asia”.
