On the morning of September 19th, the symposium held by the China International Exchange Association to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the China-Japan Peace and Friendship Treaty was held in Beijing. Jin Fei, Academic Committee Member of the Pangoal Institution; Liu Hongcai, vice president of China International Exchange Association; Zhang Tuosheng, Senior Advisor of Advisory Committee of the Pangoal Institution; Chairman of Academic Committee of China Foundation International and Strategic Studies; Gao Hong, Director of the Japanese Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Science; Wang Zhongyi, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Banli Kaieda and Shoichi Kondo, members of the Japanese Constitutional Democratic Party attended the forum and had an in-depth exchange on Sino-Japanese relations.

At the symposium, Jin Fei shared his three views on Sino-Japanese relations:

First, the long-awaited Sino-Japanese national exchange boom has finally arrived. While enhancing mutual understanding and promoting deep communication, the two nationals must also pay attention to avoiding various contradictions. The government should strengthen positive guidance and pay close attention.

Second, Sino-Japanese exchanges should be added to the topic of daily life. Nationals can exchange opinions, share experiences, and inspire each other on issues related to disaster prevention, environment, education, parenting, medical care, garbage and so on.

Third, we must pay attention to youth exchanges as well as old age exchanges. Both China and Japan have entered an aging society, and it is necessary to promote more elderly people in the two countries to become friends and face the problem of old age.
